Personal Projects
I always have a few personal projects rattling around in my head. Here are some of the latest:
WP-LiveBLog - A live blogging plugin for WordPress with a simple interface and real time updates for your page visitors. The plugin is currently in development and isn’t ready for public use just yet.
GetSpelling - A promotional site for the Mozilla FireFox browser. The project focuses on one of FireFox’s minor but incredibly useful features, the built in spell checker. The the name is a reference to GetFirefox.com. It masquerades as a legitimate application but it really has no functionality. It’s just an empty textarea–if you want the spell checking functionality you’ll need to “Get Firefox.”
Websites
Here are some examples of work that I’ve done for Union Street Media, the company that I currently work for.
It’s important to note that I didn’t design any of the sites linked on this page. Credit for that goes to the wonderful design team at Union Street Media. My Job is to take the finished designs (in photoshop format) and turn them into web pages using mostly valid xHTML and CSS. I say mostly valid, because I can’t account for some of the code that our CMS and real estate template system generates.
The geekiest visitors may choose to delve into the stylesheets to see what they look like. I must disclaim any credit or fault for files named realestate.css, nnerencore.css, or vreincore.css. Those are part of the company’s template system, and are in need of rewriting in some places.
